Ending with a bang!

Well, what a week! The Dead Good Concert that ended it was, as expected, great! Well done and a huge 'thank you' to Con Brio and Figurehead for donating their time and energy, not to mention wonderful singing. And once again, the Klezbians worked their magic with a performance that was even more high octane than last year! We can't recommend them highly enough, AND they've agreed to do it again next year, because, to quote them, 'we've just had such a great time!' Have a listen to them a few years back:

We're still recovering and coming down to earth, but it seems as if, thanks to the generosity of all participants over the week, and especially to our anonymous donors, we have again come out of the week with enough to fund several other events in the coming year, as well as having put Confortia on the map! We even made it onto Spotlight TV, but unfortunately not until Saturday evening, too late for anyone who might have wanted to attend the sessions.

Radio Cornwall

Well, we made it onto Radio Cornwall this morning just after 8am. We should also have been on Spotlight's early morning bulletin, but I didn't get to see that. Did anyone else? Two Death Cafes today at the Liskerrett Centre, one at 10am, the other at 5.30pm this evening.

North Devon Event coming up!

Calling those of you in North Devon ………

The event will take place from 2pm to 5.30pm, and you will be able to find out about choices for End of Life and Funerals.

Dying Matters Week

Apologies for the blip on the website at the weekend – the programme & fliers for the week are now available. Go to the Links page & click on Downloads. Please note that if you pick up a printed one from the Liskerrett Centre, it will have the wrong dates on the front! A 'cut & paste' error – the correct dates are from Monday May 9th to Saturday May 14th!

Dead Good Concert!

We're delighted that the terrific Klesbians will once again be playing at our Dead Good Concert on Saturday May 14th, the final event of our Dying Matters Awareness week. We had such good feedback about them last year that it's great that they're coming again. Don't miss the chance to see this very lively and talented group – and dance your socks off!

The programme for the week's events will very soon be completed, so look out for it soon. There are some very interesting sessions planned as well as the Death Cafes that will run during the week.

Dying Matters Awareness Week 9th – 14th May 2016

Confortia will be running another Dying Matters Awareness Week in the Liskerrett Centre, Liskeard, from May 9th to the 14th. There will be a range of workshops and Death Cafes throughout the week, as well as displays and information, ending with another 'Dead Good Concert' on the Saturday evening, with food & a really good band.

There will be no charge for any of the workshops or Death Cafes, but donations will be very welcome – last year's donations have enabled us to set up Confortia and to start planning another week of events this year. There will be a small charge for the concert & food.
